How much data the encoder spends on each second of video.

Bitrate is the data budget per second of streamed video, usually measured in megabits per second (Mbps). Higher bitrate means more detail preserved but more bandwidth required. Cloud gaming services typically use 15–35 Mbps for their highest-quality tiers.
